Plain and simple, UMEK is a leader in the house music industry. The Slovenian producer, DJ and entrepreneur has cemented his name as a veteran in the underground game, along with his techno label 1605. With just about every new release, UMEK shows his ability to create range in his music through surprise and new sounds, all while keeping his specific musical identity in tact. Today, we’ve got a look at his next work that does just that, entitled “Mechanical Blade,” that’s out on November 28th via of course, 1605. It follows “The Drum,” a swirling techno dream, and a disco-inspired tech track, “Flang-O-Music,” with an identity of its own. It's also the latest music we've heard from him after he announced his new project Viberate.com, a new analytics resource for artists. Falling somewhere between techno and electro, this is probably the biggest and most overt energy we’ve ever heard out of UMEK. “Mechanical Blade” is deliberate, entrancing, and groovy, all while maintaining the veil of the underground.
