Caleb Brown is a 17-year-young artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana that has graced us with the second single off his project titled, "You May Cry" produced by Derrick Thomas Jr.
Caleb & Derrick team up for a pretty flawless collaboration on this track – pulling on our heart strings over an OG Kanye inspired production. Caleb told EARMILK, "Everything I'm putting on this project is directly related to me, not those around me – my personal head space and how I think and feel this year. I guess mainly the feelings of my last year of high school. Learning things day by day – dealing with people day by day. I wrote this song while home alone, listening to "Only One" by Kanye West and I started balling my eyes out. My first time crying in years and this song is the outcome of that situation – plus me trying to challenge myself sound wise while challenging my listeners."
Caleb possesses a really vulnerable tone at the beginning of the track – almost crying for help. Then, as the verse progresses, he snaps, spitting hot fire and knowledge onto his listeners. He sounds like he could easily be part of the TDE gang in a matter of time. Don't sleep on this youngin' – his flow is sharp, he's filled with merciless rhyme and most of all, he's about to glow up.
