American producer Treasure Fingers has dabbled in many different subgenres of electronic music since he started rolling out tunes, some of which found the producer on labels like Fools Gold and Defected. It should be no surprise that he's able to inject BINKS' “Groove” with huge a dose of good vibes and get away with it. LA-based producer BINKS' original has more of that electro high-energy EDM sound, complete with intense builds and crisp production. Still keeping with the edgy feel, dusty percussion, and solid beats, Treasure Fingers' remix takes “Groove” to the funkier and soulful side of house. Normally BINKS wouldn't even be on my personal radar, but thanks to Treasure Fingers, there's a new groove in rotation. Both the original “Groove” as well as Treasure Fingers' remix can be found on BINKS' new Frequencies EP—out now and available from digital retailers like iTunes.
