Night Owl Collective has steadily been releasing tracks from their Feel Trip Vol. 2 compilation since early last month, and their releases have been insanely tasteful.
Plucking out a choice handful of artists from the muddled Soundcloud sphere who are creating something innovative, Night Owl Collective's releases have steadily been gaining the eager support of new fans and old fans.
Their most recent release is this playful composition by Shindig. There are some tracks that just open up the imagination of the listener more easily than other tracks, and for me this is one of them.
Starting off like a Soda Island-released track, the irritable beeping sounds of an open car door quickly transition into a foamy sea of lush clacks. The sound of a turning signal sends the imagery of someone driving through a misty summer rain. Suddenly, an explosive release of details hit– it seems that the driver has gotten out of the car, and… started playing with the little creatures that have stopped their car in the middle of the street? Click clacks and flute synths pervade the auditory sense, like the chattering of these little creatures. Maybe they came out of the driver's favorite childhood video game…
The driver plays with the creatures and the track ends on a joyously peppy note; it appears that "New Friends" have, indeed, been made on this warm, rainy day.
