"The lines are very blurred," Alluxe says of her many ventures in her career. She's an artist, producer, DJ, controllerist, violinist and live show designer, innovating at every chance she gets. And she's done so with some of the biggest names behind her, designing groundbreaking shows from Kanye West, Drake, The Weeknd and Bon Iver. But now, the LA-based artist is focusing on her production and DJing for herself as an artist, not just others. A trained musician, taking up the violin at 5 years and it's led her to be featured on records by Kanye West, Hit-Boy and Big Grams. She's DJ-ed ahead of shows for artists like Garbage and Miguel, and as an Ableton-certified trainer has been able to sync up her production skills with her live DJing. She's following her own path, with the release of Contrast on October 28th via Electronic Creatives, which in her own words is "a bit outside the box and that’s what I’m going for." And in celebration of her new endeavor, has joined us for an exclusive guest mix that highlights some of her own work as well as an array of hip hop, world music, house and future house influences.
