One of my favourite Canadian producers Ramzoid, steps into the scene strong at a mere 18 years old. Don't let the wunderkind's age fool you, his talent and consistent quality is beyond his years. Hailing from the maritime province of Prince Edward Island, Ramzoid conveys an ornate sound that's almost undefinable. From remixes of Louis the Child and Gramatik, the Soda Island co-founder consistently surpasses expectations in his genuine style. Somewhere in between kawaii blips and trap infused beats, Ramzoid has developed a grand spectacle of noise in his releases.

His latest "Maze" is definitely a memorable work of art that moves beyond music and creates and immersive experience. Beginning with an ominous eastern inspired melody, Ramzoid sets up the track with a cinematic foundation. As the deep bass rolls in with a gritty drum work impeding, the echoey vocals simmer in and out. Taking us on some sort of intergalactic journey, the track throws us into an intense braiding of heavy side chain and poignant zips of sound. A true renegade in his art, Ramzoid carefully depicts a narrative in his deep sonic venture "Maze."
