The BANKS and Wafia inspired track begins with ZAE's solo vocals scaling different notes until :13 seconds in. When the production starts, it feels like you've fallen to the ground with the weight of all of your feels. The striking soundscape features heavy, pulsing synths behind ZAE's emotive vocals that delicately trickle over the surface of the production. ZAE told EARMILK that she holds this song very close to her heart, as it is very personal.
"The song is about a dark period in my current relationship and was born from the deep sadness I felt at the time."
ZAE courageously bares her heart and soul – pouring every ounce of her feels into her vulnerable songwriting. Keep an eye on this little gem and her future releases!
