At this point, everyone knows that Chi-Town is a hotbed for dope music. I don't know if there's something inside the deep dish pizza or what; but there seems to be a fresh new voice every week, and versatile emcee CLEW is next up on Chicago's Got Talent.
Today, CLEW is premiering his new single "Tarzan," an upbeat experimental hip hop record that celebrates freedom and living with a sense of adventure — much like everyone's favorite vine-swinging jungle dweller.
CLEW's versatility shines on "Tarzan," perhaps more than anything else. Not all emcees are comfortable spitting and harmonizing over some sultry guitar strings and funky tribal drums, but CLEW does both with ease. Prov, who produced the track, creates a beautiful South American-esque soundscape here that gives CLEW the perfect platform to freely swing around as he pleases. The only thing matching Prov's vibrant production is CLEW's energetic bars and invigorating hook. The two artists mesh well together, and I can certainly see them cranking out some more bangers in the future.
