Since getting together in 2013, Archie Ward, George Renwick and James Levey have made waves as Felon. The trio has learned a lot in their electronic music career so far, producing tracks in their home city of London and using Ibiza as a jumping off point for performances and musical inspiration.
We've seen Felon's releases on a range of imprints – Musical Freedom, Axtone, Mad Decent, Ultra Records, and Fool's Gold. Their forthcoming EP comes from the latter, and is their sophomore appearance on the Brooklyn label with original work following the April release of "Bones." Entitled The Source, the EP will feature four total tracks including "Bones," and will be released on September 29th. One of the standouts on the EP is also "Tusks," which you can get a first listen to here today.
"Tusks" has an impressive nostalgia to it – maybe some that Felon has picked up during their adventures in Ibiza. Familiar synths pair with a simple, infectious bassline, and a boundless set of vocals for the dance floor.
