Atlanta's own hometown menace, 21 Savage, links up with fellow A-town resident, by way of France, Brodinski on their new track, "No Target." 21 Savage is not known for his dexterous wordplay or technical delivery; he keeps his verses straightforward and fatally serious. He would sooner rob the "lyricist of the year" then win one, but he embodies a subset of rap that has taken a backseat in recent years: pure street music. "No Target" is an intoxicating example of his growing persona and style.
Brodinski creates a dark alleyway, at midnight ambiance on "No Target"; a scene that would chill lonely street dwellers to the bone. Fortunately enough, the production is not overbearing, which allows 21 Savage to appear and drag it deeper into the pits of despair. The young rapper questions his opposition mettle and supposed street history. Although he is not talking to you, this song might have you second guessing yourself.
"No Target" is definitely a record to bump right before you go into battle, check it out above.
