Quite a few things stand out as notable on the latest from the Anjunabeats crew. First, is the success of their latest signee Jason Ross, a San Diego DJ and producer who has gone from obscurity to representing the Above & Beyond-fronted label's future in just two years. Second is the continuation of a retro look in album art from an imprint who likes to stick to the script. Third and most relevant is the new look that Ross's latest single "Me Tonight" has gotten from one of progressive house's longtime favorite names, Tim Mason.

Mason has truly been sharpening his skills in his sound over the past few years, following the departure from big room house in popularity. Since, Mason has moved away from the basics of his earlier hits, while keeping their main appeal consistent in focusing on creating melody.
It's almost shocking that this is Tim Mason's debut release on Anjunabeats, as his focus in his music has functioned very closely, but seemingly parallel, to the progression of artists included in the Anjunabeats family. Always aware of melody and the emotions it can elicit, it's no wonder Mason has finally connected there to remix "Me Tonight" in impressive prog fashion. Due out on September 16th of this year alongside a remix from Mermaek (aka Oliver Smith), this release is just a sign of what's to come for all parties involved in the coming year.
"Me Tonight" is one of the latest originals from Jason Ross, preceding his Amun / Meta EP collaboration with Ilan Bluestone released earlier this month.
