Known for its founders' success in Fedde le Grand, Funkerman and Raf jansen, Flamingo Recordings not only seeks out established talent but like any good record label, seeks to nurture dance music's next generation. In its latest release out today, they've done just that, taking on a new original from Brazilian producer Olin Batista. Entitled "Amazon 63," the single marks the first original from Batista after a few months of silence, following his viral hit "Luma" that honored his mother. Now "Amazon 63" is one honoring his father, as well as some of electronic music's most iconic sounding roots.
Batista flexes his muscles on this one, displaying that he has a range in understanding of dance music's wealth of production styles. "Amazon 63" is a nod back to French house and decades old funky, sexy electronica. Not only that but the track's title is a nod to his dad's boat with the same name, through using clips from the Superboat World Championship in his production.
"Amazon 63" is out via multiple retailers today.
