Some tracks easily put listeners in a certain mindset, take them to a specific memory, or create a mood reminiscent of a certain location. Instead of taking listeners to a different world, this type of music hones in on the listener's personal experiences, focusing on what is already "here" and not "there" to seize our attention.

Introducing Coolwater Set. Today, this hip hop group with electronic influences have released the first single from their debut upcoming mini album, "The Coast" and it's a good track to hint at what's to come.

Cherrytree Records founder and chairman, Martin Kierszenbaum describes Coolwater Set perfectly, “this collection of car speaker-friendly sounds is clearly an homage to the West Coast and showcases Coolwater Set’s passion for chill vibes, hip hop, bounce, low-ride cruising, and blazing late-night beach cyphers."

"The Coast" is a laid back track featuring contributions from Grammy-nominated producer RAC and vocalist JVZEL. Set against a cooler sounding mix of tambourine-speckled percussion and nostalgic synths, faint guitar plucks intermingle with Coolwater Set's lively rapping and JVZEL's sultry vocals. The entire track will remind you of nocturnal thoughts that only come after dusk and is perfect for late night listening.

Make sure to stay updated when the full mini album comes out later this year, out on Cherrytree Records and Brednbutter.
