There's probably a million and one covers of Prince songs out in the world. However, Raindear's take on Prince's "I Wanna Be Your Lover" is definitely worth a pause in your day to listen to.

This Swedish pop singer revamps the song into a gorgeous, more pulsing track, with a signature glassy col legno string sound that begins the track and stays throughout. Raindear's voice has a beautiful, deeply rich sound similar to artists like Seinabo Sey, which in particular makes a great contrast to the more lighthearted, minimalistic production used in this cover. As the track progresses, more sounds are gradually added in such as flutey synths, yet at the end of the day, the vocals are what makes the track an intensely engaging experience.
