Tourist previews U.S. tour with luminous new video for "Too Late"

UK producer Will Phillips aka Tourist has just announced a long-awaited U.S. tour, giving fans a preview of his show with a new video for “Too Late”, a slow-building emotional cut from his debut album U.  The producer is best known at this point for co-writing (and winning a Grammy for) Sam Smith's colossal international hit "Stay With Me." Tourist dropped a few upbeat dance singles that followed in the pop songwriting mold, collaborating with Olly Alexander of Years & Years, Australian singer-songwriter Josef Salvat and up-and-coming songstress Niia in 2015.  U builds on the production approach of those singles but strips back the singing to haunting bits of vocal samples that are entwined in Phillips' intricate and emotional productions, which he aptly refers to as "sad dance music."

"Too Late" is no different, and the song's video, showing Phillips in deep focus, working a keyboard along with other equipment and dancing amid swirling technicolor rays of light.  The chiaroscuro effect only accentuates the song's longing, which comes in pulses and waves as the song builds towards climax.

Check out the video for "Too Late" and a full list of Tourist's upcoming shows (U.S. dates just added) below.
