Amtrac spins Nimmo's "My Only Friend" into deep house oblivion [Premiere]

If you haven't heard of Nimmo yet, we guarantee you will soon. The five-piece electronic band have made a name for themselves by creating unique music built on the longtime friendship of the group's lead vocalists, Sarah Nimmo and Reva Gauntlett. While currently working on their debut album, Nimmo has been giving a glimpse of what that holds with the release of singles "Dilute This," "UnYoung," and most recently, the infectious "My Only Friend."

In honor of the single's release, Kentucky-born and LA-based producer and instrumentalist Amtrac has stepped up to the plate to put his famously explorative production style on Nimmo's latest release. As he's done on his more recent releases, Amtrac has switched up his style once again to make the perfect move on "My Only Friend." With a retro introduction, he's incorporated moody piano chords, worldly treble and a groovy undertone that gives the single a new melancholy note. In all, Nimmo and Amtrac sounds like a perfect fit.
