“Who’s Afraid of Detroit?” 10 Year Anniversary Party at The Detroit Masonic Temple Fountain Ballroom.
No matter what anyone tells you, do not miss this party. No one knows how to throw a better party than the DIRTYBIRD crew. That is a fact. It’s been 10 years since Claude VonStroke released “Who’s Afraid of Detroit,” which defined the DIRTYBIRD sound for the last decade. While not on the billing himself, it would be very unusual to not see the label head show up alongside the pizza man Justin Martin, J. Phlip, who you’ll remember threw down one of the best closing sets Movement has ever seen after being added last second to the slot, and Ardalan. With many of DIRTYBIRD artists playing other after parties this same night, you can expect some special guests to show up. This truly will be a Detroit San Francisco party, and I can tell you that those are not to be missed.
11pm-4am; 18+; 500 Temple St, Detroit; Tickets; $20-$40
In addition to just the after party to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the single that started it all, Claude Vonstroke is releasing a remix EP of "Who's Afraid of Detroit?" as well as hosting a Pop-Up shop in Detroit all weekend long, with great music, meet-and-greats, raffles, and more. Stop by for good time.
