Jerry Bouthier, one half of JBAG and co-master of Continental Records, welcomes Mexican band Bluehost to his family of chic and sophisticated synth pop acts. Their newest single “We Need You” is the kind of track that promotes a good time. Combining summery guitar licks, hazy synths, and equally hazy vocals, “We Need You” isn’t lacking in the feel good vibes department. Along with a fun original mix, the full EP comes packed with some bonus remixes to get the dance floor going and the cocktails flowing. One of which is a remix from Swedish producer A Copycat.

Like Bluehost’s original mix, A Copycat’s mix is propelled by summery beach vibes with steamy synths, guitars, and vocals. On paper, the two seem the same, but the little nuances in production style are what set them apart. Check out A Copycat’s “We Need You” remix here, and look for the full EP to be rounded out with another remix from French producer Pallace as well as a dub mix from Bluehost. Look for that June 3rd from digital retailers like iTunes.
