On this luscious Thursday morning (PST), I'm pleased to present "Flagrant," a soulful slap from a couple of supremely talented cypher-slayers — Elujay and YMTK. These two Pray Area players are straight out of Oakland, and their Bay vibes are the perfect marinade for Ekzakt's chilled-out, quasi-gloomy production.
Peepeth out "Flagrant" below and vibe all the way out.

Elujay's flow on this record is straight Land O'Lakes. Like a George Gervin finger roll, his sing-songy delivery is smooth yet unstoppable. In fact, both he and YMTK mesh with the melancholy sample and Trumpet Boy's silky horns incredibly well. Additionally, the soulful, lighters-in-the-air chorus wraps everything up nicely, as both artists shroud themselves in smoke to forget their lady problems.
Stay woke for more classic tunes from these East Bay virtuosos; stay clear of flagrant folks with murky motives.
