UK producer and DJ Malachi has been at his craft for some time, having been a part of Audiowhores, Graham Lord, and Word of Mouth. Just in combing through his SoundCloud, listening to tracks, you can really tell he pays attention to all the little details in his music. Ultimately, the result is a style that loosely centers around, what I’ll call, "soulful deep tech house." One of those words might not apply all the time, but they certainly apply to Malachi’s forthcoming track “Burning,” set to release next month on the German imprint label Milk & Sugar Recordings.

This is one of those love at first listens. Right from the sharp percussion and billowing strings at the start, it’s palpable. Then Malachi hits you with piano chords and warm soulful vocals—sold. It only gets better as the track builds and Malachi layers melodies upon lush soft melodies. “Burning” is set to release May 20th, in the meantime have a few listens here.
