Join RECESS as they embark on their fourth college tour, bringing the Music + Ideas Festival to 18 colleges across the country. Each event, free with RSVP, begins with The Pitch Competition, where student visionaries are given the opportunity to pitch startup ideas to some of the biggest investors and mentors in the country. The competitions are followed by after parties featuring performances by a range of up-and-coming artists. Following the Regional Semifinal round of the competition in Denver, the Gothic Theatre will host a concert by rapper GoldLink, with support from K Theory. The first 30 people to RSVP are guaranteed VIP entry, with one lucky fan winning two meet and greet passes by entering through the link below. At only 21 years old, GoldLink has quickly moved from a handful of tracks Soundcloud to becoming a familiar name to musical tastemakers around the world. His bouncy, colorful sound has garnered praise from outlets like Pitchfork, NPR, Complex, and Vibe. We’ve brought you a curated playlist by GoldLink, available on Spotify, created in anticipation for his upcoming concert.

RSVP HERE FOR FREE ENTRY

The Music + Ideas Festival’s bracket-tiered Pitch Competition will bring finalists from each region in front of a panel of distinguished judges, with the winning team receiving an all-expenses paid trip to the RECESS Field Trip in LA. There, the winners will get the chance to pitch their ideas to major investors and venture capitalists, with a shot at a $250,000 cash prize courtesy of partner Capital Championship. All Pitch Competitions and after parties are free, but RSVPs are required. Those with college IDs will receive priority entry.
