Tom Odell is approaching a big moment in his career. After studying music in his young adult life, the UK singer-songwriter performed at open mic nights before landing his breakout EP Songs from Another Love in 2012. Since then, he's been touring and working on his next big move: his debut album Wrong Crowd.
Due out on June 10th via Columbia Records, the first single from the LP, "Magnetized," has been well received. It's been so well received that other artists have taken notice, lending their services to remix the track. We have a first listen to one of our favorite UK producer's take on the single, from Secondcity. We've seen his prowess in his production on tracks like "I Wanna Feel," as well has his subsequent follow up tracks that demonstrate his unique brand of soul inspired house.
Secondcity's take on "Magnetized" is simply entrancing. He's capitalized on Odell's passionate and melancholy vocals, creating a moody multidimensional track that plays to all sorts of personal inner-thinkings and feelings.
