Ed Tullett and Novo Amor's "Alps" paints the brutality of love [Premiere]

Love can be a beautiful thing but, love can also a be brutal thing. We do crazy things in the name of love (besides stopping). We pretend to be somebody we're not, we continue to hurt ourselves in toxic relationships and tell ourselves they'll change, or we alter every aspect about us just to win one person's affection. In Ed Tullett and Novo Amor's latest collaboration "Alps," the two create a stunning piece of art about this desire to change, deceive, and hurt ourselves for someone's love. Chilling falsetto pierces through the fragile music bed that will send shivers down your spine. As the song progresses, it expands into a gorgeous swell of instrumentation and entrancing percussion that aims straight at the heart.

Today, the duo releases the stunning visuals for the song. It visits the fabled cupid and how in actuality, is quite the macabre and manipulative myth. We employ an unknown sprite to pierce our flesh with its arrows in an attempt to force people to fall in love. This video paints that quite literally, as our protagonist drags her  wounded body through the snow, only to be consoled in the arms of the man the hurt her. It's a startling video that makes you step back and think about how much you're willing to put yourself through for love.

PS: I might have cried twice while watching this video.
