Today we're pleased to be premiering Montreal-based Pang Attack's newest single entitled "Monk Song".

The tune, hailing off of the trio's forthcoming album North Country Psychic Girls (recorded by The Besnard Lakes' Jace Lasek), can stylistically be summed up as "Leonard Cohen meets Giorgio Moroder", as described by vocalist Alexander Hackett.

The track, as Hackett continues, "signifies something of a departure from our usual palette of dreamy, droney sounds" as "Monk Song" instead situates Pang Attack's forthcoming LP to explore more "psych crooner" sonic territory.

"Monk Song" is a seductive fuzz-rock offering, one that kicks up the dust on a lonely desert road. Take a listen below.

Pang Attack will be playing some shows around Quebec, Canada alongside Suuns in April. See below for dates.

April 7 – Ste-Thérèse Bar Le Cha Cha w / Suuns
April 9 – St-Casimir La Taverne w / Suuns
April 15– Québec City L'Anti w / Suuns
April 16– Carleton, QC Le Naufrageur w / Suuns
April 19– Trois-Rivières Café Frida w / Suuns
April 21– Montreal Quai des Brumes TBA
