It's highly unlikely you haven't already heard Disclosure's original version of "Omen" featuring Sam Smith. Today I have an incredible cover of the hit by an up-and-coming singer/songwriter/producer, Myles Pedroso, a.k.a. Choice. He's fairly new on the scene but I can assure you he's not one to sleep on. With deep soulful vocals and production that can compete with the best in the biz, I'd say 2016 is about to be a big year for Choice.
This cover of "Omen" does a good job of keeping a similarly bouncy vibe from the original but also adds a new flare with some future synth work and half-time percussion, not to mention the unbelievable new vocals by Choice. I'm thoroughly impressed by the voice this guy has. It's certainly not an easy task to take on a song originally done by Disclosure and Sam Smith but he nailed it.
