Swedish duo Gidge is set to return with Lulin, an album and accompanying film based on the nature and beauty of their home terrain, the forest of Umeå.  Consisting of two marathon-length ambient tracks, Lulin captures Scandinavia's cold elegance in its drifting textures and softly cooed vocals.  A four-minute excerpt of "Hon" can be streamed below.

Lulin will be released via Atomnation on March 18, along with the premiere screening of the short film.  Produced by Gidge's close friends at film company Lampray, the film stars Victor Lindgren as a man who has an encounter with a "mystical being."

I received my degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, and Virginia is still home. Apart from my yearly pilgrimage to Moogfest and occasional shows in DC, Detroit, and New York, I like to stick to the fringes, with an eye always open toward music that is forward-thinking and unique, whatever the genre.
