When it comes to pushing boundaries and consistently delivering quality music, SLANDER hits the top of the list, constantly releasing hit after hit. Known for pioneering "Heaven Trap", the LA-based duo made up of Derek Anderson and Scott Land's music ranges from dirty bass festival bangers to emotionally charged melodic tracks.
In SLANDER's latest, the producers collaborate with the hand that fed them, working alongside former teacher Adam K in track "Breathe" (ft. Matthew Steeper & Haliene). SLANDER stated on their SoundCloud, "A few years back we had the honor of taking a production class hosted by @adamk and it was one of the first times we ever learned about making music…" . Citing Adam K. as a major influence, "Breathe" has deep meanings for the duo and their beginnings in the electronic scene.
The track is a unique concoction of future bass, trap beats and melodic vocals. The radiant vocals provided by chanteause, HALIENE are extremely fitting for the track, creating a heavy tension between melancholy and the sublime, ironically leaving the listener breathless. The feathery track is uplifting with the complexities in the hard-hitting drum patterns and plucking synths which linger in the background. SLANDER and Adam K. create an exceptional masterpiece in "Breathe", easily filling an emotional void for their audience. The track can be heard below and you can download it here. SLANDER has also recently announced their international"Breathe" tour, tickets are available now.
