Matt Cutler's last album as Lone, Reality Testing, was a pretty hip-hop oriented affair, compared to the futuristic dance floor anthems of its predecessor, Galaxy Garden. After Reality Testing, Cutler reissued Lemurian, an old classic with a trippy Boards of Canada feel. Needless to say, Lone is probably getting restless with the slower BPMs, and on his latest offering, a remix of Nimmo's "UnYoung," the producer lets loose with a joyous rave tune, blending Nimmo's garage-pop hybrid with his bright, syrupy synth sound.
Keep an eye out for Nimmo, the London-based group has all the necessary ingredients to blow up in a big way. Check out Lone's "UnYoung" remix, and the original version, below.
