As the year comes to a close, we start to get excited for what the new year will bring, and where our music tastes will go. For New York based artist Andre Mistier, 2016 will bring the next EP for his project The Adversary, Chapter 3: Falling is Flight. Not wanting to make us wait, The Adversary is, however, ready to showcase the video for “Coming On” off of the new EP.
The Adversary sets the tone of the track with a strong beat and a synth melody that will keep you enthralled the entire track. In talking about “Coming On,” Andre said, “This music is like being swept away and then realizing you're held together by connections. I think of a favorite Rumi quote,
‘You dance inside my chest,
Where no sees you,
But sometimes I do,
And that sight becomes art.’ ”
The video itself is visually stunning, starting as a blank canvas upon which heavily distorted visuals cascade around light fractals. Videos of Andre are spliced in, giving the video a more grounded feel to amidst all the distortion.
