With the dust barely settled on Painted Palms' sophomore album Horizons (released Sept 4/15 via Polyvinyl Record Co), lead single "Refractor" already finds itself on the receiving end of a remix treatment courtesy of Ellie Herring.
Once a purely electronic-pop track, "Refractor" has since been moulded into a moodier trip-pop offering, one that features prominent basslines and a sensual lyrical structure.
Painted Palms' ominous harmonies and "panoramic pop" mentality has been exasperated through the diverse sonic palette that is "Refractor" in all of its glory. Take a listen below.
