What do you get when three of pop music's most exciting acts come together? A great remix, in this case.
With the campaign for their second artist album We The Generation earlier this year, UK electronica group Rudimental let loose what would become their biggest lead single from the album, a collaboration with Ed Sheeran entitled "Lay It On Me." Since then, the second collaboration between the two parties went on to be a Top 40 hit in the UK and Rudimental's first charting song in the US.
Over the months since its release, "Lay It On Me" has been remixed by everyone from Sultan + Shepard to Eats Everything, and the remixing frenzy isn't over just yet. On deck to remix the single next is American house and pop production trio Cash Cash, and the guys have put their signature crossover style in place to light up the track. Check it out below and you'll hear a complex combination of melody, complextro and rock-inspired pop, combined with the appeal of Sheeran's familiar and soothing voice.
Out tomorrow, the remix comes ahead of Rudimental's live New Year's Eve appearance for a DJ set supporting Future at NYC's Pier 36. Check our socials to win tickets to the show!
