Loframes helps David Harks and his "Tripping Ghosts" dance [Premiere]

David Harks set out to make a track that reflected the dark and isolated state he entered after moving back to a city he’d left. “I couldn't help but examine the choices I’d made over the years that I felt could have been different. I was tripping on these ghosts that I thought I’d resolved but here they were back to challenge me one more time,” says Harks. He called upon friend and producer Dan Berridge to help get the mood just right, and the result was a hauntingly beautiful piece called “Tripping Ghosts.” The track flows with these murky layers of electronic melodies and ethereal vocals into a lovely soundscape of emotion.

It’s not the sort of thing you imagine making an appearance on the dance floor, but duo Loframes certainly allows for that special introspective moment beneath the disco ball. Nonchalant house beats, filters, and a subtle bass line serve as the perfect complements to the melancholy vocals that David Harks lays down in his original mix. Enjoy this first taste of the Loframes remix below and make sure to check out the original “Tripping Ghosts” too. The complete release will be available on November 27th via Harks's label JumJum Records.
