Sweden’s Jonas Rathsman has come a long way since his early days with French Express. He’s released a number of killer singles along with “Wolfsbane” which debuted on Disclosure’s imprint label Method White. More recently, Rathsman accompanied both Disclosure and duo Gorgon City for parts of their tours before heading back to the UK for a string of shows. In the midst of all the action, Kompakt Records is putting out the newest single from the bearded producer.
Rathsman posted the leading single called “New Generation” earlier this month, but now we’re finally getting to hear the darker B-side “Conium.” This comes just in time for all the Halloween celebrations about to ensue. “Conium” overall follows Rathman’s signature style of deep, dark house with more of a trance approach. While getting lost in the beats, brooding melodies creep around to complete the mood of the track.
