Multi-instrumentalist Robert DeLong is taking the world by storm with his Wii steering wheel and hit single “Don’t Wait Up.” The intoxicating synth melodies and undeniably catchy chorus serve as a great impression of DeLong’s signature 80s-style electro pop that runs through his second album In The Cards. It’s hard to think that one could top the original version of “Don’t Wait Up,” but London’s John J-C Carr laid down a massive deep house mix.

Filled with huge builds and drops, a grimy bassline, and welcomed intermittent piano melodies, Carr is out to destroy the dance floor. One of the best moments of the track comes about two-thirds of the way in where the music opens up to these ethereal feminine vocals, and then comes back to the core tune. Really everything about it makes for an amazing interpretation of “Don’t Wait Up,” so just check it out!
