UK based house maestro Denney is an artist who catapulted himself into the music scene with some velocity. Not only was his first hit "Ultraviolet" signed by mega label Hot Creations, but he then went on to be named 'Future Hero' by Mixmag magazine. Quite an entrance. His latest release on house veteran Steve Lawler's imprint, VIVa Music, is a straight up house anthem, reminiscent of the classic Jamie Jones "Percolator" vault remix.
Denney showcases his signature retro analogue bass to devastating effect throughout the record, implementing a 'less is more' train of thought for the infectiously simple bass line. Perky percussion keeps the energy running high throughout the record, allowing the powerful soul vocal to command the track as it gradually develops into an acid house affair.
The record as a whole embodies everything that's great about house music and is arguably one of his catchiest releases to date, no doubt doing a lot of damage at his recent VIVa Warriors residency in Ibiza. You'll be able to add it to your collection from October 30th.
