Washington DC seems to be the leading city for rap and future music's interesting combination, with artists like Beau Young Prince and Goldlink leading the way. We happen to have found another artist who's steadily building his name up in the local scene, and he goes by the name Lyrx.

The young artist has released his newest track "Dropout," in which he brings old school instrumentals to the forefront of his modern day rap style. He's articulate and powerful, and if "Dropout" is any indication, a name we will have to keep a serious eye on from now on.

Lyrx's debut mixtape, Not A Rapper, is out October 26th.
