New York City indie rockers Mainland mix British post-punk and west coast surf sounds on their latest single "Not As Cool As Me." Their latest release is a break up anthem, which puts ex-lovers on blast. The distorted guitars and 80's synth sounds combined make "Not As Cool As Me" the perfect song for cranking up on your home sound system or blasting in your car. This tune will bring out the angst ridden teenager in you.
"Not As Cool As Me" is mainly about "dating someone who treats you like dirt, and reflecting on all the reasons why you're better off without them. I once had a relationship with a girl who was a mess and thought she controlled my life, this song is the sound of the door slamming behind me" lead singer Jordan Topf told The Fader. Mainland is currently on tour and will be performing at Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City on September 29.
