2014 was was certainly the biggest year yet for Calgary's Kiesza, with her track "Hideaway" hitting singalong summer jam heights and her debut album Sound of a Woman landing her critical acclaim. Since then, she's been touring the festival circuit and landing appearances on other chart topping singles with artists like Duran Duran, Joey Bada$$ and on Jack U's "Take U There." And though its release was last year, that single as well as "Hideaway" are still in the rotation almost everywhere you turn. Today she's returned with her first new original work in months entitled "Give It To The Moment."
Many times musical collaborations are born from artists admiration for one another, and that's exactly what's happened on "Give It To The Moment," which features an artist familiar with both dance music and pop, Djemba Djemba, on the production. The single features first and foremost Kiesza's unapologetic vocals, supported through sampling and a hip hop influenced beat.
