Michael Clifford brings us to the deep with 'Deepolog' EP

There are sometimes when you just want to get lost in the beat, in the deep. The word “deep,” however, is often misused as a tagline for music that it is in fact not deep at all. This past week, as summer comes to a close, Italian producer Michael Clifford has given us some proper deep music with his aptly named Deepolog EP, on eMBI.

With the properly named title track, “Deepology,” Michael Clifford sets the tone with a crisp, bouncy percussion, and thus begins an over eight minute journey that merges the calm with the strong, those feelings of warmth with the deep. Warm, minimal beats provide the groundwork for floating synths. When the distorted vocals come in, it is clear that this track is special.

This is definitely one track and EP that should not be missed. Pick up a copy of Deepolog today on eMBI.
