Its been quite a year for Miami native DJ/producers GTA. Their "Death to Genres" collection in which the duo has been releasing music that can't be confined to one genre has a slew of hits you've likely heard a few of. They thrive in that grey area outside the boundaries where many producers are afraid to explore and recently they teamed up with Wavo to give others the chance to push the limits by releasing the stems to their original "Red Lips" featuring Sam Bruno.
I'm a big fan of GTA so a remix of one of their songs has to be pretty good to catch my attention, but thats just what happened when I heard this one by San Diego based producer and founder of the Vibecast artist collective, VOLO. A chilled out intro with spacey chopped up vocals of Sam Bruno lead into an unexpected yet fitting high energy drop. The thing really I like about the song is the way he transitions from a chill intro to the hype first drop and then incorporates a big sawtooth synth for a more future sounding second drop bringing out all the feels. Stream VOLO's remix below and if your feelin it toss a vote his way for the remix contest hosted by Wavo.
