Jay IDK preps for debut LP, ‘Sub-Trap’, with cryptic teaser trailer [Video]

Coming off of a massive wave from his track "The Plug", DMV up and comer, Jay IDK prepares for the release of his highly anticipated LP Sub-Trap. With a release set for Aug. 25th, Sub-Trap, short for "suburban trap" is a paradoxical concept made to have listeners question their perception of trap music. While there's a clear dichotomy between the modern day rapper and trap artist, proponents of the hip-hop sub genre have reached a place of notoriety that their predecessors from the early 2000's could have only fathomed; millions of listeners from all walks of life, all over the world enjoying the sound. However, the argument of substance in the music still remains. Jay's intention is to blur the lines.

Mixed by Delbert Bowers, who did work on projects such as Yeezus and Long.Live.A$AP, the project will include production from The Glitch Mob and frequent TDE collaborator Skhyehutch. The teaser trailer below has a very foreboding feel to it that director Jacob Leguardia does well not to reveal too much of .
