We've covered Australia-based singer-producer duo CVIRO and GXNXVS on the site before, a perfect blend of rhythm, bass and rhyme. And just in time for the weekend they've sent us "Sober," which is one smooth number, as per their signature style of hazy electronically based R&B. It's one part progressive and two parts futuristic as CVIRO's vocals perfectly intertwine with GXNXVS's flawless production.
The message in this one is universal, because who hasn't wanted to just get someone "Out of their system." Love isn't supposed to be sobering but can unfortunately be so. I think that we can all relate to that feeling of knowing that someone is totally wrong for you, but wanting them anyways. GXNXS has been causing quite a buzz in the blogosphere with his soft production style, so watch for more by him on our site in the near future.
