If anyone has already had a big year, it is Los Angeles based Justin Jay, releasing his Momentum EP earlier in the year and then the critically acclaimed “Mind Games” while getting a firm grip on this year’s festival scene. Today, he is back and has teamed up with UK artist Chris Lorenzo to fuse their styles for “Storm,” out now for free download from Black Butter Records.
They set the tone of “Storm” with some breakbeats and some warm, almost Southern California-esque, synths. When the darker, more bass driven low end kicks in, it becomes clear that this is a true collaboration between Justin Jay and Chris Lorenzo, melding their different styles together to create one unique track.
