Sometimes it's best to manage one's expectations when trying to blow up as an artist. There's a million people out there all looking for the same end result, so a little patience can go a long way. With that being said, if you know you're ready, it's probably best to just say fuck it and try to get a big name's attention. Bay Area production duo SKULS went with that approach, contacting UK bass legend Plastician on a whim, quickly becoming the latest signee to his label, Terrorhythm Records.
Now, settled in to a new label and industry status, all that's left for SKULS to do is craft more of their dynamic, trap-leaning beats. At the beginning of the year they released an impressive batch of original tracks on their Soundcloud, and they've developed a reputation for bar-raising remixes as well. The latest is their version of Tommy Kruise's "Hers," a remix that shows them confidently picking apart the original and coming away with something more purified and crystalline than the gritty original. You can stream the track below, and grab a free download over on SKULS' Soundcloud.
