Australian-born and Brooklyn-based artist Chet Faker has had a killer past two years. He has sold out tours, performed on Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Kimmel live, and been named on multiple Best of 2014 lists. As he prepares to kick off his leg of North American summer festivals, he decided to ~casually~ break the internet with this new rendition of his breakout single “1998” featuring a fresh collaboration with the brooding voice of Banks. The same structure and progression of the song is kept in tact, with BANKS going in on the second verse and chorus. The two duet call and response vocals on the chorus, allowing the track to shimmer with it’s new dynamic.
