With a line up like this, how could you expect a weak link?
Slum Village has had a history of dropping low key bangers ever since the release of Fantastic, Vol. 2. In the 15 years since that record dropped, the group has faced their share of hardships, but they've also been able to keep it moving, becoming one of the most consistent hip hop acts out there. Their latest video, "Love Is," joins the myriad of smooth tracks they've cooked up as of late. Alongside Bilal and Illa J, the Detroit heavyweights drop rhymes galore over a beat from the late great producer, J Dilla and Young RJ. Sonically, the beat is a classic Motor City slapper packed with grooves that could make the dead get up and nod their heads. The video even manages to take things up to another notch as we're treated with shots of SV on the road doing their thing. Check out the video and cop their latest project, YES!, right now for more great music.
