New LA based duo KOLAJ have crafted one of those perfect mid-summer lovelorn anthems that reaches us in all of the right ways. Singer-songwriter Teesa and producer Mighty Mike don't just produce and are able to craft their tunes in a live band setting, with guitar pedals, a drum kit and live keyboards.
Teesa has an uncanny way of exuding intoxicating melodies with a light vocal touch and captured the likes of Incubus guitarist Michael Einziger and Randy Jackson early in her instruction. "The Touch," makes us think those late magic summer nights, jumping off a dock or skinny dipping in a pool with that someone you're falling for. This track is full of soul, tempered by an innate soft sensibility.
