When thinking about Dan Farber, g-house may be the last thing on your mind. The heavy bass and trap producer lights up the stage with rumbling productions filled with boisterous drops and snare climbs that have landed him on Buygore, Mad Decent, and Dim Mak. Last December the Tel Aviv artist released his Middle Eastern EP on the Aoki label, a 4-track release that took his hip hop roots to an entirely new level. Switching gears, "Gangsta Shit" demonstrates Farber's willingness to venture into new territory, sampling Ice Cube's classic throwback "Hello" and delivering that steady g-house beat that has seen a recent resurgence.
