This one came in just in time for the first sunset of the weekend.
"Leyla" is a track done by one of the UK's biggest up and coming singer and production acts, Angel. He's been behind the scenes of Roll Deep Crew, and behind some best-selling deep house tracks like Wretch 32's "Black & White," and with this latest single he's really going out to create his own name. He's worked with Fuse ODG before on a more island-vibing track, and "Leyla" keeps that inspiration with more of a pop angle.
Today we get a first listen to a track that was literally just premiered on BBC Radio 1. It's the remix of "Leyla" done by another UK singer-songwriting newbie, Fastlane. We featured Fastlane not so long ago, learning about his unique house and garage style. That application on "Leyla" is more than apropos, where Fastlane has applied some of the original island inspiration into a chilled out deep house gem.
