Based out of Oslo, Siv Jakobsen mixes her sultry vocals with both dream pop and folk styles to make for a hypnotizing sound. Having released The Lingering EP in May, Siv has only one other EP available online in 2013's For Those I Used To Know, where she explores the lighter side of her style. In being from both Brooklyn and Oslo, Siv holds the keen ability to drop her dynamic voice over many different backgrounds with ease, evident through Danish producer Martin Hviid's remix of "How We Used To Love".
In the Martin Hviid remix of "How We Used To Love" the folk aspects to Siv's sound are stripped. Instead, the mix uses a wide arrangement of instrumentals to give the track and manipulated vocals a cinematic edge. Bordering trip hop through its finest moments Martin Hviid's mix of "How We Used To Love" lends itself nicely to Siv's entire catalog in that it adds depth to her sound.
